Winter projects

These are two projects that kept me occupied during the winter.  Deciding paint colors was the hardest thing to do (besides the pillows on the couch).

Now that's more like it

Now it looks like spring!

Dinosaur Park

Over spring break we go to do some fun things.  We went to the Clark Planetarium, Tracy Aviary, and the Ogden Dinosaur Park.
Which one do you think is the world's most dangerous creature?

The boys playing Pooh Sticks on the bridge.

Is it still winter?

I'm so confused.  This is what we woke up to this morning.  And I thought it was spring.  Sigh.

Easter and General Conference

On Friday we traveled to Rexburg, Idaho, to see a musical Kayla was in.  She was a storyteller in "Children of Eden."  She did a fantastic job.  She had lots of hard dancing to learn and did some great leaps across the stage.  She was also a monkey in the second act about Noah.  She has always loved monkeys and really picked up on their habits.  She was cute.

We stayed in Rexburg for General Conference and celebrated Easter there.  The kids went a little crazy with the camera.  If you planned to stay awake while watching conference on TV, we learned not to sit on the couch.  That was the nap zone.

A big thank you to Mom and Dad Southwick and Kayla and Patrick for taking good care of us!

Oompa loompa land

Alex participated in "Willy Wonka" as an Oompa Loompa.  He did a great job.  He got to dance in the aisles, and I got to sit right next to his dancing spot.
I was close enough to tickle him, but I didn't.

Alecia turns 15!

Alecia's birthday was a crazy day for our family.  Either she was gone or Bill and Karl were gone, so she celebrated her birthday with her friends.  During lunch they sang to her in the cafeteria.  Apparently there was clapping, standing on the seats, and all around fun.  She loved it.  We celebrated her birthday the next night after her clogging recital.  This picture shows her in one of her crazy dance outfits.  She was super excited to get a cell phone.  Happy 15th!

Karl's 17th birthday

All Karl wanted for his birthday was one of the MacGyver seasons on DVD.  So we went big time and got him the whole series.  I've never seen him smile so big.  Because his actual birthday was so busy, we celebrated it a day early.  I can't believe he is 17 already!
