Bill was on a diet during his birthday, so he asked for sugar-free pudding instead of cake. I layered chocolate pudding with white chocolate pudding, let it set, and then put a few candles in it. We all enjoyed it even though it wasn't cake.

Blaze Game
We had the kids invite some friends and then went to a Blaze indoor arena football game. I have never been to an event like this before. It was rather interesting. Alex and McKay loved it. There was a young lady sitting next to us who, if she wasn't texting, was up out of her seat dancing. It was quite comical to watch. Alex and McKay were on the jumbo-tron eight times. They thought that was so cool!

Mother's Day
I really don't enjoy having my picture taken. I especially don't like my double chin when I look down to open gifts from my loving family. This is the only picture I will allow from this year's event. Alex made me a card with a poem he made up. Here is the poem:
Mom, I want you to know how much we love you,
You make our hearts dance with joy!
You are our sun, our own light,
Dad must be glad that he's a boy!
When it's time to open gifts,
Remember to never say nay,
Christ & God sent me to you,
Happy Mother's day!
Mom, I want you to know how much we love you,
You make our hearts dance with joy!
You are our sun, our own light,
Dad must be glad that he's a boy!
When it's time to open gifts,
Remember to never say nay,
Christ & God sent me to you,
Happy Mother's day!

Viewmont High Prom
Alecia was asked by a friend, Nathan Tinsley, to attend his prom. She decided to wear the same dress (thank you) because it was a different school with different people. She enjoyed her second prom. And yes, he is TALL!

Phoenix Zoo
On our way out of town and headed back home, we stopped at the Phoenix Zoo. It was a rainy day, but that makes it less crowded. We were able to do a lot of walking before the big drive back to Utah.
The entrance--I love this picture!
On the bridge overlooking a bunch of turtles
Turtles!
The Hogle Zoo in Utah doesn't have lions. Glad we saw these!

Spring Break Service Project
Duty to God, Personal Progress, and Faith in God are all great programs in the church. They all seem to require that service projects be performed. We decided that our service project would be helping Grandma and Grandpa Anderson get settled into their new home in Arizona. I didn't get any pictures of us actually doing any work, but we did work! The reward was spending time with G and G and playing in their pool!
Sr. Pictures
My sweet sister, Whitney, graciously took some senior pictures of Karl while we were in Arizona. This is my favorite.
Can't you hear the train horn and feel the vibrations? They did! Thanks, Whitney!
