Yesterday I went to a neurosurgeon to check on the deterioration of my back problem. Seven years ago I was diagnosed with spondylolisthesis - phase I. After having new MRIs and x-rays, my new doctor told me that I am now at a phase II and that he thinks this whole problem was congenital. My former doc thought maybe I had broken the facets as a teenager. Looks like there was no way to avoid this issue I am having. With the worsening of the spondylolisthesis (slipping of the spine), my disc has collapsed. I have three options.
1. Do nothing.
2. Injections for pain.
3. Surgery--placing a spacer between the vertebra, inserting rods with screws, grafting bone along with bone growth booster, and having complete fusion within 6-12 months.
What's a girl to do?

Maybe you could get a second opinion from Doctor Wheeler. I think he's still around. And if not, then...ummm...lets have a moment of silence.
I'm so sad for you. But I hope you know, I'm the one to call if you need a "Nanny" or a "nurse". It's my calling!
I would go with option #4 - eat a chocolate chip cookie!!!
That stinks!
I'm volunteering to be a nanny too, but don't check my references (Nat, shhhh . . . pipe down ya brat!).
