Southwick Family Reunion 2011

This year the Southwick reunion was held in Rexburg, Idaho.  Mom and Dad Southwick live there.  They cleared a large space for putting up tents, hauled in a portable toilet, and were kind enough to let us shower and use the facilities.  We did some outdoor cooking and a lot of food prep and cooking in the kitchens (they have two).  We had some fantastic storms and ate most dinners in the garage, but the days were gorgeous!

Here are the grandkids waiting around for the uncles to finish digging and building a fire pit.  We had to accomplish this chore before we could go to the Rexburg Nature Park.

 Lunch was at the Nature Park.  Becky had some wedding sign-in books that the kids were able to doodle in.  The girl cousins made a future wedding book for Karl.  It had pictures, the many adventures he and his wife would share, and the birth of each child.  It was a creative book done by these funny girls.

 

Teenage boys bonding over fishing.  I think they mostly talked about video and computer games.

  And while Jeff did the cooking, the others stood around shooting the breeze.
