Kayla has announced her engagement to Patrick Martin. They are planning to be married on May 23, 2009. We went dress shopping on Saturday and found her wedding dress at the first shop we went to. We also went looking at dresses for bridesmaids. We found some fabric and a pattern. I thought I would try the pattern on some practice material before I attempted the actual dress. Alecia volunteered to try it on and wear it. Who couldn't use a new dress?

That's what I said! I told mom my socks looked funny. She said it doesn't matter. I think it is cute! I now have a new dress and I can brag that my amazing mother made!
