Lynn Anderson Reunion 2011

The Lynn Anderson Reunion was held in Lehi, Utah, on July 1-2, 2011.  Aunt Linda and her family were in charge.  They did a fabulous job.  Kathy and Mychal were on the communications committee, Frank and Mary were over the food, and Darla and Renae were over games and activities.  At meal times the children of Lynn and Rosamond were invited to share memories of their parents.  Grandkids could also do some sharing.  Aunt Sylvia told us about finding some quilt squares that Grandma Rose had just stacked up in her sewing room.  Aunt Sylvia took those and made what she called her "healing quilt" after she finished with chemo.  These squares were from Great-Grandma Amy's time and had been hand embroidered and signed by those who made them.  Grandma's four squares are now in each corner of the quilt.  It is beautiful.

I don't know why Loretta is pointing up and looking down.  That's how I look when I'm wearing my reading glasses and have to see something at a distance.

We played some super fun games.  We had water balloon volleyball, regular volleyball, and team games.  Here is a game called Pip, Squeak, and Wilbur.

Then we had messy fun.  The kids put a piece of bubble gum in a bowl and then covered it with whipped cream.  They had to put their faces in the cream, find the gum, chew it, and then blow a bubble.

After dinner Darla made the Aunts and Uncles lie!!!!  There was an scenario that actually happened to a sibling, but each had to persuade us that it had happened to them.  The men of the family are pretty good story tellers.  They certainly had us laughing!  We then did name that tune with kazoos and had a devotional.

Overall a super fun day!

Thanks for this post, Marci! It's nice to get different views of our hoedown.

How fun! Sorry I missed it. Everyone I talked to said they had a wonderful time. You aren't the only one who also mentioned the Anderson brothers' ability to lie! I sure there were some great stories.
